Our Cheeseboards are individually handcrafted in the Quantocks, made from Ash purchased from a sawmill in Northamptonshire in 2009.
All Cheeseboards are treated with at least 3 coats of oil before leaving our workshop.
Measurements vary with the flow of the wood.
Please remember that wood is an organic material and may move over time.
Each piece is different and the wood may darken with use.
Wipe your product clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not put in the dishwasher or submerge in water. Allow the product to dry naturally, away from heat sources.
To maintain your product, oil with food safe oil every 6 months. We recommend Ronseal anti-bacterial worktop oil. Regular oiling will aid resistance to staining, and reduce the amount of moisture the product can absorb and making it easier to clean. Treated properly, the product will give you many years of service.
Oil should be applied at room temperature. Apply a generous amount of oil with a cloth or brush to the product, working lightly into the wood grain.Leave for around 30 minutes then wipe off the excess with a soft cloth.
You can oil your product once a week or month. Regular applications of oil will prolong the life of your product.
